Caravan Al-Yasmeen

Caravan Al Yasmeen is a new innovative, Middle Eastern ensemble, formed by Anita Munson, a clarinettist and Mario Christofi on oud, guitar and percussion. This unique ensemble brings classical Middle Eastern and music from the Mediterranean with guest singer Hara Ioannidou.

Anita has always been interested in music from Europe, the Mediterranean and more recently discovered the beauty of Middle Eastern music. Her unique sound on the clarinet combined with the exceptionally talented musicians Mario Christofi and Jamie Benzies on bass, makes for an unparalleled, creative arrangement of music of the Ottoman Era and of the music of composers such as Munir Bashir and Baligh Hamdi.
