      Description

      20th October / 3PM

As musicians, we each adopt a certain aesthetic of harmony, crafting a language uniquely ours through chord patterns shaped by this very aesthetic. But have you ever wondered why we gravitate towards these particular chords? While teaching harmony, a student’s question struck a chord: “Why does the dominant want to resolve to the tonic?” This question echoed my own curiosities from my student days, prompting a deeper inquiry into the very nature of harmony.

Join me as I explore the Circle of Fifths, revealing its lesser-known symmetric properties and how it defines harmony. This exploration has led to the development of a unique musical software, transforming theoretical concepts into practical tools. During the presentation, I’ll uncover the unknown facets of the Circle of Fifths and demonstrate its use as a musical compass in music composition.

      🔍 Who Should Attend?

This seminar is designed for anyone with a passion for music. A basic understanding of music theory, including major and minor scales and simple chord structures, will enrich your experience as we tackle more complex topics.
