13 May / 8PM
From Samsun to Artvin, we encounter a beautiful and unique musical culture along every stream bed. In the Black Sea region, melodies in different languages flow into one another like harmonious transitions in a colour palette…
Perhaps not in every language, but in many, we come this evening to whisper songs of friendship. Our repertoire will feature songs in Georgian, Laz, Hemshin, Pontic Greek, and Turkish in the Chepni dialect—and of course, surprise guests…
We will try to bring you the scent of komar flowers from the Black Sea highlands through the sound of the kemenche.
As the poet Ömer Kayaoğlu said…
